Area high school and middle school students attended the Stem & Medical Event on the Valdosta Campus on February 12, 2019.
On Tuesday, February 28, our annual “Get Wired for Allied Health” event was held on the Valdosta Campus. Almost 1000 students from 18 different high schools and middle schools got to see “up close” some of the allied health programs offered at Wiregrass.
A reception honoring graduates of our Allied Health Programs was held immediately following graduation exercises on August 5, 2015. There was also a Program Recognition Ceremony for graduates of the Licensed Practical Nursing, Associate of Science in Nursing, and Emergency Services Programs.
Middle and high school students from our service area were on the Valdosta Campus Tuesday, April 14 for our annual “Get Wired for a Career in Healthcare” event. By observation and through hands-on activities, students get an idea of what it might be like to work in various health care occupations.
Kayla Stevens, a practical nursing student from the Wiregrass Coffee Campus, was awarded the annual Coffee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary scholarship for her essay, “Why I want to work in the Healthcare field.” The scholarship was for $500! Congratulations, Kayla!
