On Tuesday, February 28, our annual “Get Wired for Allied Health” event was held on the Valdosta Campus. Almost 1000 students from 18 different high schools and middle schools got to see “up close” some of the allied health programs offered at Wiregrass.

Over 1,000 students signed up to participate in the Get Wired for a Career event held on the Valdosta Campus Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Programs featured were the technical and industrial programs, along with horticulture, cosmetology, barbering, and culinary arts. Middle and high school students from Ben Hill, Irwin, and Wilcox counties learn about careers and participate in team building events at “Get Wired!” on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.
Get Wired for Professional Services, Valdosta Campus
On October 22, over 400 middle and high school students visited the Valdosta Campus to learn about careers in professional services. Some of the programs represented were: cosmetology, esthetics, early childhood care and education, commercial truck driving, culinary arts, fire science, and horticulture.
