On Tuesday, February 28, our annual “Get Wired for Allied Health” event was held on the Valdosta Campus. Almost 1000 students from 18 different high schools and middle schools got to see “up close” some of the allied health programs offered at Wiregrass.
Wiregrass GA Tech recently hosted a Practical Nursing Forum sponsored by the Technical College System of Georgia. Practical Nursing is one of 28 programs offered at Wiregrass that qualifies for the Governor’s Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant (SIWDG).
The ceremony was held at noon on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, in Irwin Hall on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College practical nursing students on the Valdosta campus received their nursing pins during a ceremony held on Monday, December 2.
A special capping ceremony was held on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus for practical nursing students Natalie “Brooke” Lott, Heather Chaney, and Christy Roberson of Ocilla, and Casey Smith of Fitzgerald. Congratulations, ladies! Your determination paid off!
Kayla Stevens, a practical nursing student from the Wiregrass Coffee Campus, was awarded the annual Coffee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary scholarship for her essay, “Why I want to work in the Healthcare field.” The scholarship was for $500! Congratulations, Kayla!
