Wiregrass EAGLE Student Chosen

Anthony Urrabazo has been chosen to represent Wiregrass Georgia Technical College as the 2017 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Student of the Year. The award was announced on December 13 at a reception sponsored by the Valdosta Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and Smith Drug Company. The finalists, including the winner, are Mary Blake nominated by Mary Holloway and Anthony Urrabazo nominated by Jenay Lewis. Bruce Allred, General Manager of Smith Drug Company presented Anthony with the award and Mary as the runner-up.

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is a public community college in Valdosta, Georgia. It is part of the Technical College System of Georgia and provides education for an eleven-county service area in south-central Georgia.
